FAQs

What is the difference between the Standard and Premium levels of LawPass?

LawPass’ Standard Subscription gives you unlimited access to scores of new webcasts, plus our entire library of over 600 on-demand courses. The Premium Subscription includes all that content PLUS unlimited on-site attendance at In-Person courses, unlimited access to live video webcasts of In-Person courses, and unlimited access to all ALI CLE’s online forms and course materials.

How do I access the content in my subscription?

First, purchase your subscription. You’ll get an email giving you your username and password. Click the link in the email to log into your LawPass account. Once you are logged in, you can browse the ALI CLE website and select any course or other product that falls within your subscription. Use the cart checkout button, which will read “Add to my LawPass account”. Complete the transaction at no charge, and then click the “LawPass” button in the upper right of your screen to reach the course or product that is now in your account.

How will I know when my subscription is about to expire?

We will send you an email alerting you to the upcoming expiration of your subscription so that you may renew it.

Can I receive CLE credit for any courses I take using my subscription?

Yes, all courses taken through your LawPass subscription are eligible for CLE credit as if you had purchased them separately. Please check the details of the individual course to make sure that your jurisdiction accredits the course in the format you wish to take it. For example, some jurisdictions limit the number of online course hours you can take for CLE credit.

Is it possible for more than one attorney at my organization to access the same LawPass account?

Sorry, LawPass is designed specifically for a single, individual user. So no sharing is permitted, nor are groups of attorneys permitted to view any content available to the LawPass subscriber. ALI CLE also offers discounted packages for multi-user organizations. To learn more about multi-user subscriptions, please contact Dara Lovitz at dlovitz@ali-cle.org

In-Person Courses

Registration at an ALI CLE in‑person program or its accompanying full live includes complete course materials and CLE credit for sessions attended.

All ALI CLE in‑person courses are also available by live streaming webcast for those who prefer to attend the program remotely. Indeed, ALI CLE has provided our in‑person courses in a hybrid format for many years, so we have the expertise to bring you our national programming in a high‑quality format that best suits your interests and needs.

On‑Demand Programs and Materials

On‑demand programs and program materials for most webcasts are available for purchase 5 to 10 business days after the live presentation, longer for multi‑day programs and multi‑day webcasts. Purchase of an on‑demand program and/or materials includes online access for 12 months from the date of purchase.

LawPass Subscribers who select an on‑demand program and/or materials have online access for up to 12 months from the date of selection or until their subscription expires, whichever is sooner.

Cancellations

We understand that plans change. If you are unable to make the in-person program, we’d be happy to assist by transferring your registration at any time before the start of the course to the webcast, to the on-demand program, or to a colleague. If you prefer not to transfer your registration, you may receive a full refund for your cancellation request received 21 days or more prior to the start of the course. A credit less 30% of the registration fee, or a transfer to the webcast or on-demand program, will be issued for your cancellation request received less than 21 days before the course begins. Cancellations after the start of the course will not be eligible for a refund, but your registration may still be transferred to the on-demand program.
For webcasts, notify ALI CLE (1-800-253-6397 or custserv@ali-cle.org) before the program to apply your tuition to another program or product of your choice. Or notify ALI CLE (fax: 215-243-1664 or registrar@ali-cle.org) two business days before the program to cancel and receive a full refund. Note that registrants who do not cancel or do not attend will not receive a refund or credit, but upon request to Customer Service will receive free access to the archived program online and the study materials.

CLE Credit

Check the “MCLE” tab on the course web page.
“Pending” means we have applied for accreditation in your jurisdiction and are awaiting approval. “Self Submit” means that you must submit your attendance certificate along with other materials your jurisdiction may require (e.g. agenda, faculty credentials, course materials) for approval or acceptance of credits earned.
Several jurisdictions limit the number of credits to be taken via webcasts. Please check with your state regulator for possible limits in your jurisdiction.
